Below is experience from uverse user :
I get installed 9/05/09. Only and12 meg internet tv. Install went fine, the line tech came right on schedule, draw a new line into the house and installed a new nid. While the tech on the line in technology appears, has ported the line and start the installation. All total it took about 4 hours. I’ve cat4 for all locations. Everything works well and still working. Great on TV 1080i hd and yes it looks a lot better than my 720p from Comcast. The Internet is a little faster than my dsl but I am having to slow down page loading, I think DNS server problem.

Tests vary depending on the speed tests I ran, when I run the test and for what I use, anywhere from 2 MB to 11.5 MB. Outside the DNS resolution problems and inconsistent speeds only major problem is the 2wire on my ballot in the network. I have 2 hd tvs cable to a 2wire hard on CAT5, I have up to 5 units in the wireless and I have 5 Cisco switch port attached to the 2wire (not a straight CAT5 crossover) I have a Dlink 323 NAS, network printer, a PS3 and a desktop in CAT5 into the switch. Printers and NAS has been fixed ip address everything else is automatically obtained. Perhaps, someone can shed some light on why the 2wire and the NAS seems constantly communicating (network indicator light) note that my unit is set to wake noneof on lan unless the printer.
Besides crosstalk network all work well. I want to see up in there control 2wire fixed the situation. My only other grip with ATT not put all the pieces together correctly. I ordered my set on 8 / 23 and they say that VOIP is not available, on 8 / 24 they had available but did not tell people who are scheduled to adjust. Now I have to wait until 10.09 for VOIP which means I get 2 bills this month and have to log in to pay for 2 places. Just like the big things – the left hand can not see the right hand much less know what to do each one.
Just glad to see that the LA (lower Alabama) is cathching the entire world.
